He is an alumnus of the Medical School of the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, where he obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Medicine (M.B;B.S) in 1981.

Dr. Dogunro completed a Residency Program in Pediatrics at the Obafemi Awolowo University in 1987 to become a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians (FWACP) and a Consultant Pediatrician.
He has held various positions of increasing responsibilities including being a Lecturer and a Consultant Pediatrician at Obafemi Awolowo College of Medical Sciences, Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University). He was also a Consultant Pediatrician and Medical Superintendent in charge of the Medical Center, Osogbo Steel Rolling Company, a company of the Federal Ministry of Mines, Steel, and Power.
Dr. Dogunro is the immediate past Medical and Regulatory Affairs Director for Pfizer Specialties Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pfizer Inc. New York, a global Pharmaceutical Company. He has also worked as a Consultant Pediatrician at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, and as a Pediatrician and Neonatologist at the Magodo Specialist Hospital.
Dr. Dogunro has had several trainings on Leadership and is equipped with a rich experience in the Pharmaceutical industry. He has published some peer-reviewed articles in reputable journals and attended many seminars and conferences.
Dr. Dogunro is currently a Consultant Pediatrician/Neonatologist and the Director of Clinical Services at the ultra-modern Atlantis Pediatric Hospital (APH) where Children and mothers matter.
